Timber and stonework eco build house

Timber and Stonework Eco Build House, Warleggan for Mr. & Mrs. Flynn

We couldn't have wished for a better builder to execute our challenging project. The quality of work, attention to detail, and clear understanding of what was expected from the outset were second to none. Tim Whitehead Stonemasons are a formidable team that I would highly recommend to others.
Nick Donaldson, Architect, ARCO2 Architecture

My wife and I have employed Tim Whitehead on two major, and contrasting, building projects in our parish over the past seven years. In both cases we have been completely happy with the way the work went and thoroughly delighted by the results.

The first was the conversion to living accommodation of a pair of Grade II listed granite former barns, one with 14th Century origins, the other built in the 18th Century. The final work earned considerable praise not only from local people but also from the local authority planning and conservation officers. In particular, the masonry work was superb.

The second was a groundbreaking project to erect a unique eco-friendly house on virgin land along with the full restoration of a Grade II listed granite building, dated 1711, within the same plot. The new building is constructed entirely of Cornish timber and its eco-credentials depend entirely on the meticulous quality of the work. The results exceeded even our expectations and the building won great praise from our architects, who entered it for no fewer than three award schemes. It also resulted in a six-page illustrated feature in a national building magazine.

I have no hesitation in recommending Tim Whitehead and his team for the quality of their workmanship and materials used, their flexibility and willingness to accommodate clients' wishes, their understanding of both traditional and new building techniques and for contributing a number of excellent ideas to the two projects. In short, one can be entirely confident that everything is done as it should be.
